March Networking Workshop

The Networking Workshop will be ending the quarter back at The Toasted Bearfor one last meeting before switching to a new spot! The address is 689 South Ave.. The meetup time is on Thursday, March 22nd, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.

There is a small parking lot is 50 yards south of the building. Street parking is also available. The establishment also has a full menu available!

The Networking Workshop is an event where we talk about what we have been working on, and what projects we have coming up. The veteran filmmakers get a chance to meet with up-and-comers, and those fresh to the Rochester film scene will get a chance to find out about what’s happening in the area.

Which is the point of these workshops: to put filmmakers in contact with other filmmakers. The RAFAS Networking Workshops have been pulling in good numbers. We’d like to get more of you involved.

The event is open to everyone eighteen and over. If you are underage, you must have a parent or guardian present, as alcohol is served in the establishment.

Also, food. They serve food at The Toasted Bear. So, no need to grab dinner before you head out.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Networking Workshop – July 20, 2017

6:30 PM to
Muller’s Cider House
1344 University Ave., Rochester, NY (map)

We are continuing the Networking Workshop into July, this time with a new location. Join the growing workshop community at Muller’s Cider House on University Avenue on Thursday, July 20, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.

For those who have not yet been to one of these events, now is the time to attend. The Networking Workshop is successfully putting filmmakers in contact with other local filmmakers. Whether you are looking for cast and crew for one of your projects, or looking to join an upcoming production, this is your chance to promote yourself and what you’re looking to work on

The night consists of everyone introducing themselves, what hats they wear and what they’re currently working on. We’ll have a couple of topic points to go around the room with, in which everyone will get a chance to share their opinion. Then, some free-range networking: if someone caught your attention, you will be able to go up and make an introduction. And, who knows? Maybe you’ll catch someone else’s interest.

This event is sponsored by RAFAS and is open to all filmmaking enthusiasts. We hope to see you there!

Networking Workshop – June 22

Due to the success of the May launch of the RAFAS Networking Event, we are continuing the workshop into June. The date will be June 22, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. It will take place at Nox again, at 302 North Goodman Street.

For those that weren’t able to attend the last meeting, now is the time to get involved! We will be maintaining the same format, which worked out in everyone’s favor.
